Adopted Adults (20+)
Can obtain identifying information, (unless a veto preventing access has been placed). Previously only fathers named on the original birth certificate, some policy changes mean that if a father is named elsewhere, there is some provision for the department to assess whether it is appropriate for their social worker to approach a birth father. Decisions are made on a case by case basis.
Step 1: Is to obtain information from the government department. Contact below for application forms and other information.
